As soon as we arrived we we were given the opportunity to ride out and visit a new area that the government of Haiti had set aside for people to re-build on. The org who was hosting us had built a house in this peaceful little neighborhood for Antoinette and her family, who had lost her leg in the earthquake the year prior. As we drove along the dirt road and into the lot, I spotted freshly dug wells and residents waving at us happily. When we got farther up on the hills I could look down and view all of the new wooden houses littered the land, though a lot of the other houses were still in tenting material or tin.
